I visited the Cabo Verde islands of São Vicente and Santo Antão in February 2026, at the height of the carnival season. Between the rush of documenting carnival activities, I found moments to capture sketches of daily life — moments that steadied my breath and heartbeat. In the end, these small, unhurried pauses became my favourite memories.
